🛕 Heritage & Origin

• The motifs and designs on Ramappa silk sarees are inspired by the carvings, sculptures, and architectural details of the 13th-century Ramappa Temple, a masterwork of the Kakatiya dynasty.

• The temple is famed for its intricate stone carvings — dancers, mythical creatures, flora, and geometric patterns — which have been carefully translated into silk weaves by skilled artisans.

• Thanks to the efforts of local weavers and cooperative societies such as the Telangana State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society (TSCO) and local weaving cooperatives, these traditional patterns have found a new life as luxurious silk sarees.
