Handloom Gadwal Sico Sarees are beautiful and lightweight, known for their fine weave that can even fit into a matchbox. They are made with a combination of cotton and silk, with the cotton body making them comfortable and the silk borders and pallu adding elegance with intricate gold or silver thread work.

These sarees come from the town of Gadwal in Telangana, India, a tradition that started about 200 years ago, promoted by the local Maharani. The Gadwal Handloom Centre, established in 1946, helped popularize them. Weavers use special techniques and can take 4-8 days to make just one saree, making each one a unique piece of art.
